THE DECISION ROOM
Built for candid, peer-level discussion
The Commerce Media Think Tank is CustomerX's closed-door space for senior leaders with commercial intent in commerce media. Curated by Retail MediaX, Europe's leading retail media event, it's designed to go beyond the surface of case studies and success stories.
Cross-sector and commerce-first, this room explores the decisions, constraints, trade-offs and next moves in monetising attention without losing sight of the customer. You'll leave having pressure-tested your own thinking, not just heard someone else's.
THE OBJECTIVE
Monetise attention. Don't lose the customer doing it.
Commerce media is being asked to fund next year's growth numbers, right as brands and shoppers grow warier of being sold to at every touchpoint. That's the trade-off this room exists to work through — six fronts, two days.
Day one: the long tail of SMB and challenger brand spend nobody's built for yet, the good/bad/ugly of retail media structures, and the consumer shifts already resetting demand.
Day two: the AI reshaping how media stacks get bought, the in-store spend everyone underrates, and what it takes to plan campaigns instead of selling channels.
Three panels a day, six across the two...every one ends with your own challenges and thoughts on the table.
The Panel Provocation
A series of high-intensity panel discussions designed to challenge the status quo and surface the real constraints.
THE COMMITMENT
What attending actually means
Two half-day morning sessions, one on each day of CustomerX.
Come to one, or come to both — the room resets each day!
Each hour splits evenly: 30 minutes of panel provocation, then 30 minutes of discussion. Every attendee brings live problems to the table; the room works through it together.
